Yongxing special stainless steel research institute was founded in October 2011, the main research direction is corrosion resistant, high temperature resistant characteristics of special stainless steel and corrosion resistant alloy such as advanced materials, achievements mainly used in oil drilling and refining, large thermal power and nuclear power plants, and other fields, to realize localization of high-end metal materials.

Subordinate CNAS laboratory equipped with ZEISS scanning electron microscopy (sem), all kinds of ZEISS microscope, many sets of 0 BLF direct reading spectrometer, HORIBR oxygen nitrogen apparatus, high temperature material testing machine and other advanced equipment and software, and ability to cover defect analysis, chemical and spectral analysis, gas analysis, high and low times test, corrosion test, high temperature and room temperature mechanical testing, nondestructive testing, etc.

Relying on the parent company of China stainless steel rod line leading enterprise platform, institute has carried out fruitful research work, in research and development expenses exceeds one hundred million yuan. 11 preside over or participate in the formulation of national standard, finished more than 30 national, provincial and municipal scientific research projects, 10 provinces and cities science, has 11 invention patents.
